A Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum-selling artist, Joan's repertoire encompasses a collection of songs steeped in soul, country and blues. Her major-label debut album Relish contained her top-10 hit "One of Us" and garnered six Grammy nominations. She cemented her reputation as a top-tier soul singer with and incredible turn in the acclaimed documentary film Standing in the Shadows of Motown, followed by a tour with legendary Motown backing band The Funk Brothers. Joan has toured with the Dixie Chicks, wowed audiences as the lead singer for The Grateful Dead and graced the stage of the Grand Ole Opry.
