Spencer Island lies in a 412-acre island in the Snohomish River Estuary. Managed for wildlife habitat preservation and wetland restoration. Spencer Island provides excellent bird watching along four miles of dike-top pedestrian-only nature trails (no dogs allowed.) Spencer Island is co-owned by Snohomish County and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. Seasonal waterfowl hunting is allowed on the north half of the island.
