Rooted Embrace

By Debbi Rhodes. Rooted Embrace is a 14-foot tall sculpture made of corten steel that rusts to a certain point then stops, with stainless steel and painted "leaves". Installed Tuesday, June 17 and dedicated on the eve of the solstice, with 50 people attending. The sculpture was purchased by the Arlington Arts Council and presented to the city of Arlington. Located on the 300 block of the Centennial Trail in downtown Arlington, a half block north of Arlington Police Station.
