Lowell-Snohomish River Road Scenic DriveAdd To Itinerary
The Snohomish River beckons to travelers along the Lowell-Snohomish River Road between Everett and Snohomish to stop and soak up the tranquility. When you can take your eyes off the peaceful river, the panoramic views of the Snohomish River Valley include the jutting peaks of the Cascade Mountains, lush farmlands, wide-open vistas and sweeping skyscapes! A trail by the river at Rotary Park in Everett and regular pullouts along the road provides places for shutterbugs to try to capture the beauty.
Our suggested route: From Everett, start at Interstate-5 or Broadway and head east on Lowell Road, which will eventually become Lenora Street, and then Lowell-Snohomish River Road. Turn right onto Airport Way, which will become Springhetti Road. Pass by the Baileys Farm (stop for some yummy produce if they’re open), then take a left on Broadway Avenue and then a left on Connelly Road. Don’t miss a stop at the gorgeous Heirman Wildlife Preserve at Thomas’ Eddy – and if you have your walking shoes on, get out of the car and explore some of the trails! From there, follow Connelly Road until it forks (just after passing Bob’s Corn & Pumpkin Farm), and go left on Elliott Road. Follow this road until it forks, and then go right onto Welch Road, which will eventually become Lost Lake Road, then Echo Lake Road, and eventually links back up with State Route 522. Take State Route 522 east towards Monroe, or State Route 522 west to connect with Interstate-405 or Interstate-5.
